Back at home of a succesful marketing manager - the kids are being interviewed and they say my mom greatest.
There is another woman who is a house wife, her in- laws claim they treat the woman more like a daughter, and the woman looks way too happy and satisfied. The kids are doing great at sports and studies both.
The house is more than perfect and warm
Take another woman she is the apple of her husband's eyes, her husband takes her help at every step for his business. When interviewed both look extremely curious for being with each other.
Well the woman is sure shot doing great both at home and outside. Men have started saying that 'women and men walk shoulder to shoulder. '
Shaadi2 is so famous and successful, divorced or lost husband the society now easily accepts 2nd marriage.
So hence proved 21 century women are happy, successful and winner, and the family is really happy to have them even if they are in media, or a doctor, or model, or actor or any profession women are doing great simply superb and society is helping more than anytime before.
If you are a boy I would request you not to read further because you would not like it and you will surely not accept the text further even at the face value forget getting under the skin. And if you are a woman, either you will understand it, or you would relate slightly with it or you would prefer to ignore but you will not despise it.
A woman from a middle class decided not to get married, people will appreciate her on her courage, people might get annoyed for she doesn't suit the society norms, or people will be proud of her for she stood for her serself and so did her family, but people will react. Now read under the skin, one woman decides, and the entire society decides to react. So what do you read??? I read it as a woman who decides not to marry has already married so many people, so from where is the word decision coming from???
Then a woman who is way too famous around her peers and her colleagues love her. She has a fantastic social life. So what do you read out of this, you read that this woman is doing great outside, so 1)- either she needs to be able to balance both home and outside or 2) she might be great outside but what about home??? Now I question if we are given one project at office we are more than happy to handle, we are given 2 projects we are even more happier to accept the challenge, we are dedicated 3 projects, we juggle, we are give 4 projects we dwindle. So if one lady is great in socializing let her handle all relationships but is that it, NO, she has 4 more projects to handle and yet come out as winner, so the kids suffer, and the mother blamed, or the family suffers and the woman blamed. The family, the man totally forgot you liked her because of her socializing skills which now you completely regret her for possessing.
A woman successful housewife, perfect kids, perfect husband, perfect house, except one little thing, at the time of financial crisis, oops its the woman who is not working, had she been working it would have helped, although some one forgot that she is managing within the same money. And if she is demanding, then poor she, it is not her fault since she is not earning so she is bound to ask for her necessities and luxury from you. who else. (I am not justifying useless demands although if one can afford PS2 for kids then why not spa package for woman?)
A woman proudly working with hubby, the business is great and growing because of the two working together excellent rhythm, if the family is perfect then the woman is worth praying if family suffers, then needless to say we all know where the fingers will point. My question - Can all of us be this perfect??? I am scared but I am not perfect.
Model, sports woman if struggling then you are in crisis, if successful more than the world the family will be your biggest fan. Please note I am not talking bout Kajol, Juhi Chawla, Aishwarya, Sania Mirza etc who are married and yet successful for they come from a family where the entire family is in same business so they know what they are speaking although the one who is struggling, is too new in the field so her struggling will be extremely different and way more difficult, although I am sure even the married stars have their share of struggles who doesn't?
The family wants babies, the family wants Indian attire, the family wants you to understand the things will change slowly, If you understand then you are a champ, if you follow soaps and are a master in politics at home, then you are a winner already, but what if you are normal??? A woman who fights, instead of being nasty and playing games, a woman who says I am sorry if she cannot do something instead of rescuing herself by taking the task and then giving it to someone else by being smart. A woman who doesn't want to to ask from husband instead wishes to spend on herself. A woman who in my terminology is 21st century woman the only problem - she is not perfect like they show on cnbc or ndtv, but she is any other woman who doesn't know how to play politics at home as she has already had enough in office, and wants to rest and relax at home instead.
Is there any place in society for such women? Is it a problem to be 21st century woman because we don't fit anywhere whereas the society showcases the opposite.
